Hi all

It’s been a while since the last Newsletter (January) but we did get together on March 24th for our bi-annual meeting.

​

Welcome to several New Volunteers!

Its now the ‘quiet’ season which seems to happen every year usually picking up in September. However please keep on signing up for shifts,  keeping an eye out on whatsapp incase there is a message which says it very quiet and that you can stay at home! In this hot weather though visitors have been enjoying  the Air conditioning!

 

5th Anniversary A1 Celebration October 2026

Plans are progressing well for our Celebrations in October. We having a Founders Reception on Thursday October 8th early in the evening, a special screening with Q&A on Friday 9th, a Celebratory Party on the evening of Saturday 10th  with a late finish, a Muppets Treasure Island film with pirate hat making for children on Sunday 11th and a Short Film Competition and screenings.   Hopefully something for everyone!

As far as fundraising goes we are hoping to have an Auction, partly face to face  and  partly online and a tree of promises. We are gathering together prizes for both. If you have any offers which you can help us with, the auction would be for higher ticket items – special visits, film memorabilia etc and the promises tree could be offering to do dog walking, ironing, more practical things. A respondent offers a price for the service and that  money goes to the Cinema! Please let Eliza or Amanda know or put on Rapid Response-  thank you.

We will also have a tombola.

We will be looking for Volunteers to help at these events so please note the dates in your diaries!

See the  logo for the 5th Year Celebration at top of the page! There are sheets of labels in the Volunteer signing in book. Please offer them to any interested visitors and children!
