What is a BID?
A Business Improvement District (BID)
is a geographical area in which the
local businesses have voted to
invest together to improve their
environment. Businesses within
the defined BID boundary pay a
levy charge, calculated on the Rateable Value of their business premises. This is collected and
directly invested back into the area to provide support services for its members and a platform for businesses to work together to invest in services, special projects and events.
Information about Your Acton Business Improvement District
Established in 2018, the Acton Business Improvement District (BID) is a non-for-profit company funded and run by Acton local businesses. The Acton BID vision is to make the area cleaner, safer and more welcoming for visitors and to ensure that businesses are given every opportunity to succeed, trade and grow through representation, support and investment.
Acton is a unique and wonderful area, our objective is to build on this and to support the levy paying businesses by delivering initiatives under our main four project themes:
