We are delighted to be taking part in this year's Open House Festival. This is a two-week celebration of London’s architecture and neighbourhoods when the public can see inside some buildings that are not normally open.
ActOne Cinema are working with the Acton History Group who will be hosting tours of the Old Acton Library on 10th and 11th September 2022 between 10.00 and 16.00 each day.
The building that now houses the ActOne Cinema was built as a Public Library in 1898-1900 by Maurice B Adams and funded by a generous donation from Passmore Edwards. The Acton History Group will have a display about the history of the building and will offer guided tours including visiting the upper floors that are now used as offices. On the tour you will also be able to see the work that has been done to create the first screen of the ActOne Cinema and see where the second screen will be built.
