We are a Community Interest Company (CIC) formed by local Acton residents who got together to lease the disused old library building on the High Street, keep out  developers and repurpose the building’s original role as a community hub.

We have finally opened our cinema - see the cinema website

The old library was gifted to the people of Acton and has stood empty for 8 years. Our plan was always to give the building  back to the people by creating a community space with a two-screen cinema and a café. A destination that Acton can be proud of.

Our first screen is now operational  and the doors are open - and we are delighted to be able to welcome you through the doors of this wonderful building once more.

Our plan for 2022 is to get that second screen built  to enable us to host more varied activities and community events.

"The future may be smaller, more curated, but society will still need a place for first dates and old friendships, a spot for teenagers to throng, families to treat themselves, and all manner of people to be somewhere other than home, somewhere else than in their heads, around others but at the same time not, happily lost in those perfect lines and indelible endings."
