VOLUNTEER Newsletter 27

Hi all

Happy New Year! It has been a very hectic January to date, thank you to those who have had particularly busy shifts!

Just to re-iterate from the last newsletter, please give visitors your full attention and only use mobiles for Cinema business and please, no laptops whilst at the desk!

We’ve had some long films  recently which can leave very little ‘turn around’ time for checking/cleaning the screens,  please try to arrive on time to fit this in and let us know if you are running late.

We are very close to our limit of people that we can have signed up on Rota Central. So we are planning check with those  people who have not done shifts in the last year whether they wish to stay on. We will send individual emails to them in the next couple of weeks. 

Poor lighting at the back of screen two has been making it difficult for visitors to find their seats. If you are fairly new to being a volunteer please make sure that you understand the seating arrangements and how the numbers work so that you can give easy directions i.e. back row on the left as you look up, aisle seat. 

There will be two laminated seating plans on the desk for you to do your homework! Don’t forget the torches under the desk to guide people if needed.

 

5th Anniversary A1 Celebration October 2026

 

Following on from  interest in this at the last Volunteer Meeting we are going to get an ‘A15 Action group’ going! If you feel that you could contribute in any way please come along to a Meeting on Thursday February 17th 6.30-7.30pm. It is a blank canvas at the moment!

Volunteer Meeting on  Tuesday March 24th in Lounge: 5.30-6.30pm. Will send a reminder nearer the time.
