We can break a spell of Covid-based radio silence with a seriously good bit of news. Our planning application for a 2-screen cinema and community arts hub in the Old Library is at last IN!

Thanks to your donations, hard work by folk who know more about air-con placements, seat rake and acoustic sound-proofing than you could shake an usherette’s torch at - have paid off.

And the application’s been validated by Ealing Council. This means it qualifies for detailed review by planners within the next eight weeks.

Have your own look at how it’s all shaping up, at the planning permission portal https://pam.ealing.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=documents&keyVal=QB1FY1JMMQB00

Still a long way to go but we’re finally on the road.

The people at Spacehive and Ealing Community Aid have asked the Acton Arts Project if we can facilitate fundraising for their frontline cause Ealing Reach Out To All. To save time they’re using our accounts to process their urgently-needed funds to set up a freephone number for anyone in need of help at this tough time. We’re pleased to support our vulnerable neighbours by helping this project and hope you’ll consider giving what you can.

Meanwhile, we’ve also launched another fundraising project with

easyfundraising.  Happily, for this one all you need do is register! Every time you order from one of the participating shops and suppliers - big names like Sainsbury’s, John Lewis and Aviva are in there - they make a donation to our cause. You can register at:

From all of us at Acton Arts Project, thank you for your continued support.Stay safe and well - Your Cinema Needs You!
