Hi all
It seems a while since the last Newsletter! The busy period from October to the end of March is over and we expect that the Summer will be slower. Please come down for your shift even if it is quiet to help with the security of the place generally and the exhibitions by providing a presence.

‘Photo – feedback’
We would like to keep ‘on top’ of social media and ask if you could help with taking photos at events, Q&A’s etc. Sarka, who managed social media is not local anymore and we would appreciate any help with this. Strictly you do not need to ask permission for photos of adults and you are not likely to be around children. Please send any photos you take directly to Amanda.

How does it work? Whenever you buy a product online from one of many retail outlets* they will donate a small amount to the Ciinema. This costs you nothing and is very easy to do once it is set up on your computer.

AGM of ActOne (Acton Arts Project)
This is taking place at 11.00 am on Friday May 30th, all welcome!
Events in May/June
29th May- Open Mic
31st May-Mary Jane Lowe Concert- ticketed
4th June- Board Game
13th June -Comedy Night
14th June- Jazz Evening -ticketed
19th June – Quiz Night-ticketed
26th June- Open Mic
28th June- Steve Jupe Conert-ticketed
We ideally need two volunteers at the beginning of these events to check tickets etc especially if the beginning coincides with busy screenings. We will put out an SOS for extra volunteer cover on the day if it is looking busy. So keep an eye out!
Preparation for Events
These now happen at Actone on a regular basis and we would like a volunteer ‘team’ to help with moving furniture etc, if you know anyone who might be willing to be part of this team, please let Amanda know.
Volunteer Meeting : Diary Date
We are planning another meeting for Tuesday September 16th at 5.30-6.30 and hope that many of you will be able to come along. We’ll send out a reminder.

General clear up
A date will be arranged, probably July, for gardening/weeding around the building and a tidy up inside. More details will follow.
